AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHOOL
The aim of the institution is to give to the pupils an all round education moral, academic, social and physical-based on high ideals and principles. Our strong concern and effort is to aid the development of the WHOLE PERSON so as to be fully human, fully Indian, and truly modern. We aim that our students are open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, loving and committed to faith, justice and liberation of the poor, oppressed and women in particular.
The greatest attention is paid to the children’s health, comfort and happiness.
“EXCELSIOR” – It is a Latin word which means “Higher”. The Motto, therefore, is an invitation to keep striving for the best, for excellence in studies and all other training imparted or received.
The Lily symbolizes Mary and the three stars symbolize purity, truth and goodness. Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ to whom the school is dedicated, is a model of these virtues.
SMA stands for the full name of the Institution: St. Mary of the Angels.
